Bobby Joe Miles

Bobby Joe Miles, age 83, of Glenwood, died Friday, March 23, 2012. He was born on October 6, 1928 at Glenwood, the son of Ed Miles and Effie Hendon Miles. On February 4, 1952, he was married to Sarah Vaught. He was preceded in death by his parents; and three siblings, Dr. Leroy Miles, Jerrylene Vaughn and Billy Gene Miles. A United States Army veteran, he was a retired logger and farrier. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Miles; two daughters, Paula (Jeff) Walkowiak and Anita (Chris) Hill all of Glenwood; three grandchildren, Matt (K. C.) Lowrey, Melinda Lowrey and Kristen (Jacob) Raines; three great-grandchildren, Isabella Lowrey, Eli Raines and Miranda Lowrey; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, March 26, 2012 in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. Jack Herring officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in the Bethel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matt Lowrey, Marlon Yarbrough, John Wayne Plyler, Presley Robertson, Charlie Jones and Tom Sutton. Honorary pallbearers will be George Baker, Don Baker, Rodney Woodard, Dr. John Haggard, James Bowling, Emal Crow, Cody Robertson, the staff of Glenwood Health and Rehab, Dr. Gary Gehrki, Dr. Timothy Webb and the staff of Hospice Home Care.
