Bobby Harold Taylor, 79, of Cabot passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2023. He was born August 11, 1943 to Gus and Sarah Taylor.
He is survived by his daughter, Michelle (James) Thissen; sister, Sarah (Bill) Goforth; granddaughter, Cassidy (Jason) Cates; grandson, Jesse Harisson; great-grandchildren, Kayden, Carson, Marissa, Matthew and Hudson and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Taylor of 53 years; son, Jason Taylor; sisters, Mildred Hoover, Frances Hoover, Lila Jordan, Elizabeth Ann Taylor, Nina Johnson and Gladys Fulmer; brothers, Buddy Taylor and Gus Taylor, Jr.
Bobby served in the United States Army as a Medic until 1968. After leaving the military he began his career as a lineman for First Electric Cooperative in Jacksonville, Arkansas on September 3, 1968. Bobby was a serviceman for the Cooperative and drove truck 48 for most of his career until he retired in August 2005.
He was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church in Cabot. Bobby had such a generous heart and everyone who knew him has some wonderful stories to tell. He truly was a legend of his day!
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Sumner Cemetery Fund, 6517 Hall Lane, Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM, Friday, June 30, 2023 at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Cabot. Funeral will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 1, 2023 at the church. Interment will be at Sumner Cemetery.
