Bobby Gene Bogard, 77, of Austin, went to his heavenly home on April 15, 2010. He was a retired farmer and cabinet finisher and was a foreman at Leird Manufacturing Company for twenty-four years. He had been a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church since 1945, and briefly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Bobby had been an active member and President of the Cabot Band Booster Club, a former board member of the Tri-Community Fire Department, and a former board member of the Grand Prairie Water Department.

He was born on April 14, 1933 to Homer and Almira Smith Bogard, and lived at Oak Grove his entire life. Bobby is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Melba Waddell Bogard; a son, Dr. Rick Bogard (and wife Kathy) of Dallas, Texas; a granddaughter, Lauren Bogard (and husband Gregg Lewis) of Cedar Park, Texas; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ben and Eva Waddell of Lonoke; a sister-in-law, Linda Lord of Springdale; brother-in-laws, Tommy Waddell of Benton and Fletcher Campbell of Lonoke.
