Blanche Turner, age 88, of Amity, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2016. She was born on October 8, 1927 near Amity, the daughter of Levi Johnson and Mattie Hickey Johnson. On October 31, 1945, she was married to Bro. W. D. Turner, Jr. who preceded her in death on January 13, 2005. She was also preceded in death by her son, Phillip Turner; her parents; and six brothers. She was a homemaker and member of the Caney Valley Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by three sons and one daughter-in-law, David Turner of Amity, Stephen and Karma Turner of Hot Springs and Nathan Turner of Amity; six grandchildren, Sarah Fallin, Philip Clamon, John Turner, Glenn Turner, Dylan Turner and Joseph Turner; three great-grandchildren, Gibson Fallin, Kali Turner and Kolt Turner; and her brother, Kenneth Johnson of Hot Springs. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, March 23, 2016, in the Caney Valley Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Keith Howell officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Shaun Fallin, Philip Clamon, John Turner, Dylan Turner, Glenn Turner and Joseph Turner. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
