Blanche Bryles Harston, 99, of Beebe, Arkansas, was born February 24, 1911, at Hickory Plains, Arkansas, to William T. and Addie (Stanley) Bryles, and she died Monday, July 12, 2010.
Blanche was currently the oldest member of First Baptist Church and she devoted her life to her Lord, her family and her community. She taught in public schools for forty years and taught Sunday school for seventy years. She was the oldest of eleven children, three of which survive her: Mark Bryles, Nelle Fairweather and Leta Fisher. She is also survived by two daughters, Elaine Boles of Harrison and Nelle Hogue of Spokane, Washington; four grandchildren, Lisa Howard, Tammy Wheeler, Kenneth Johnson and Keith Johnson; four great-grandchildren; and her caretaker, Jonnie Gillham, her guardian angel. She was preceded in death by seven siblings, her parents, her husband of sixty-two years, Kenneth, and a son-in-law, Jimmy Boles.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 17, 2010, at Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Grissard Cemetery.
