Billy Mack Williamson, 81, passed away May 7, 2015. Born in Bastrop, Louisiana and an LSU graduate, Bill moved to Little Rock in 1969 as a research analyst for the University of Arkansas Industrial Research and Extension Center. He developed the original, and still viable, master plan for Arkansas' motion picture industry. He was an entrepreneur, award winning Toastmaster, a Master Mason, Army veteran, and most loving husband, father and grandfather. All who knew Bill admired him for his kind and gentle spirit.
Survivors are his wife Kaye Risser Williamson; sons, John Dewey Williamson (Lisa) of Memphis and Kenny Risser of Dallas; daughters, Joan MacWilliam (Lorne) of Birmingham, Cindy Ferrell (Gene) of Minneapolis and Carmen Webb of Little Rock; and 9 grandchildren, Michael and Blake MacWilliam, Baylor and Harriet Williamson, Michael, Katie, Daniel and Michelle Ferrell, and Jessie Webb.
Service will be held Monday, May 11 at 11:00 a.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make donations to Little Rock Animal Village.
