Billy J. Wawak, 75 of North Little Rock, passed away on Friday, October 5, 2007. He was a member and Deacon of Graves Memorial Baptist Church. He was owner of Oak Grove Mini Mall, and worked for Southwestern Bell for 30 years, and was a telephone pioneer. Billy was past president of North Little Rock Lions Club, and a 32nd degree Mason, and a Shriner. He was a member of Scottish Rights, Pulaski County School Board, secretary-treasurer of Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Department, and a past chairman of Telcoe Federal Credit Union. Billy was involved in Oak Grove and Burns Park Children?s sports activities.
Survivors are his wife of 51 years, Earlene T. (Turney) Wawak of North Little Rock; daughter, Lisa Ann Wawak of North Little Rock; grandchildren, Kent ?Shawn? Wawak and wife Jennifer, and Monique Wawak, all of North Little Rock; great-grandchildren, Anthony Wawak, Jackson Elliott, and Aireas Wawak; sister, Vada Shelton and Jimmy of North Little Rock; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Funeral will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at Graves Memorial Baptist Church. Graveside service will be held at 2:30 P.M. Tuesday at Pearson Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. Monday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170.
