Billy Lee Smith, 84, of Little Rock, passed away February 12, 2010. Born in Batesville, Arkansas on December 9, 1925, he was the son of Cecil B. and Stella Smith. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a fireman with the Little Rock Fire Department. Mr. Smith was a member of the USS Colorado alumni, the Arkansas Retired Fire Fighters and the American Legion. He was of the Catholic faith.
He is survived by his daughter, Carolyn Krone and granddaughter, Crystal Romanin (Reno), all of Little Rock. He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Marie Smith, parents, son, David Lee Smith, brothers, Craig Smith, Robert Smith and Lewis B. Smith, and sister, Madelyn Yenner.
Visitation will be Monday, February 15 from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Services will be Tuesday, February 16 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home, followed by interment at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.
