Billy Simpson

Billy Joe Simpson, 86, of Carlisle died October 25, 2018. He was a retired farmer, Veteran of the Korean War, and a recipient of two Purple Hearts. He was a member of Hebron United Methodist Church.

Billy was a man of many stories. He loved to hunt and loved his bird dogs even more. Above all, he loved Jesus and his family most.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret; daughter Barbara Gail; parents Mamie and Oliver Simpson; brothers Bob, John and Oliver Jr.; and sisters Mildred Ferguson and Sharon Kay Bell.

Billy is survived by three sons, Marty Simpson (Gretchen), Mark Simpson, Randy Simpson (Kelli); three daughters Sherry McCormick (K.G.), Shelia Rankin (Ted), Michelle Strickland (Barrett); and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 27, 2018, at Hebron United Methodist Church followed by burial at Hebron Cemetery.
