Billy Rye

Billy Jerrell Rye, 78, of Cabot, died Monday, June 22, 2015. He graduated from Beebe High school in 1958 and was retired as co-owner of Rye Office Machines in Jacksonville. He was an Army veteran and a member of the Stoney Point UMC. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Rye of Cabot; two daughters, Camielle Vanness of Jacksonville, Cheryl Rye Tanner of Burbank, CA; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Jimmy Rye of Beebe; three sisters, Gladys Harrell of Sherwood, Mena Lou Henry of Clarkston, MI, and Pat Wood of Beebe. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Neta Rye. Family will receive friends Wednesday, June 24 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with entombment to follow in Meadowbrook Mausoleum. Arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home.
