Billy Ray Whitehead

Billy Ray Whitehead, age 71, of Caddo Gap, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019. He was born on December 25, 1947 in Stuttgart, the son of Sweetie Whitehead and Violet Ray Crane Whitehead. On July 14, 1972, he married to Cathy Jane Franks Whitehead who preceded him in death on March 18, 2003. He was also preceded in death by his parents. A Christian in his faith, Billy was a United States Army veteran and served in Vietnam. He was a retired truck driver. He is survived by two sons, Jason Whitehead and his wife, Tamara and Bradley Whitehead, all of Caddo Gap; four grandchildren, Catherine Whitehead, Isabelle Whitehead, Cian Whitehead and Bridgett Whitehead; two brothers, Raymond Whitehead of Kirby and Tommy Whitehead of Arkadelphia; one sister, Ruby Bain of Arkadelphia; and his nieces and nephews. Services with military honors will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 16, 2019, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood with Bro. Robbie Loudermilk officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Liberty Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Ledbetter, Joe Sams, Paul Black, Bill Woosley, Zody Woosley and Charlie Don Woosley. Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Woosley, Jack Woosley, Timothy Haddox, Allen Gladden, Keven Evans, Donnie Vaughn and Stanley Green. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
