Billy Ray Ragan

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of a beloved husband, father, brother, son, and friend Billy Ray Ragan. Billy was born in Longview, TX, on September 20, 1978, to his parents Bill and Roxie Reagan. On August 11, 2024, Billy bid farewell to this world, leaving behind a legacy of love and memories.

Those who knew Billy can attest to his strong work ethic and dedication as a floor tech and maintenance worker. He took great pride in everything he did. His willingness to lend a helping hand knew no bounds. From fixing cars to unclogging pipes, there was nothing he wouldn’t do for those he loved. A true jack of all trades.

Outside of work, Billy found joy in various hobbies. From hunting to fishing and his love for old cars, he had a knack for embracing life's simple pleasures. These activities brought him peace and contentment, allowing him to unwind and appreciate the beauty of the world around him.

One of Billy's greatest joys in life was his family. He was a devoted husband to Sandra Ragan, a loving father to Brittney, Chris, and Codye Revas, and a proud grandfather to Emilia and Anastasia Tidwell. Billy's face would light up with happiness whenever he was surrounded by his grandbabies.

Billy was a caring brother to Jeff (Keagan) and Jammie (Lora) Ragan, as well as to his sister Melody (JD) Long. He shared a special bond with his extended family, including his brother-in-law Paul and sister-in-law Janice. His circle of loved ones also included a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. He had a unique way of pestering and joking around with everyone who held a special place in his heart.

In the memory of Billy, let us not forget the family members and friends who have gone before him. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lyle and Patricia Stephens, as well as his paternal grandparents, Louis and Lilly Reagan, and his maternal grandparents, Claudia Davis and Lawrence Dorsey.

Billy Ray Ragan will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His kindness, generosity, and love for his family will forever be cherished and remembered. As we mourn his passing, let us find solace in the memories we shared with him and the legacy of love he leaves behind. Billy's spirit will live on in our hearts, guiding us with his warmth and affection.

Rest in peace, dear Billy. Your memory will be a beacon of light in our lives.
