Billy O. Darnell

Billy “Bill” O. Darnell of Greenbrier, AR passed away November 16, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was born January 17, 1936 in Mayfield Kentucky. Bill is a United States Veteran serving in the United States Army, stationed in Korea and Japan from 1954-1957. He was retired from FMC in Conway, AR. He was a loving husband, father, Papa, Pops, Uncle and friend to many. Bill loved to fish, watch MSNBC, Grit TV, and having morning coffee sitting outside. He is preceded in death by his parents James and Lorina Darnell, his sister Lillian Flowers, his loving wife of 45 years Judith Darnell, a granddaughter Tomika Vallo and his loving dog Rocky. He leaves to cherish his daughter’s Kathy (Jimmy) Valentine, Debbie Wilson (Mike), Gloria Stephenson (Randy), Kimberly Nicholson (Juleo) and son Brent Darnell (Jackie), had 12grand children and 13 great grandchildren. Bill will be greatly missed by a host of family and friends. Pallbearers will be Joe Diles, Chris Diles, Brendan Darnell, Landon Nicholson, Mike Haynes and Clarence Anderson. Honorary pallbearers will be PV 2 Dorothy Haynes. Visitation is Tuesday November 21, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. in the Griffin Leggett Chapel. There will be a graveside service Wednesday November 22, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the Arkansas Veterans Cemetery.
