Billy Matthews
Billy "Buddy" Matthews, 80, of Little Rock, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2008. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
He is survived by his son, Billy J. Matthews, Jr.; daughter, Karon K. Yates (Fred) of Memphis, Tennessee; sisters, Jane Phelps and Margaret Nan Milholland (Larry), both of Dallas, Texas; grandson, Jeremy "Todd" Bullock of Maumelle and granddaughter, Chelsea Ann Bullock of Memphis; and his special friend, Natalie Koonce, whom the family wishes to thank for the loving care she gave to Buddy.
Buddy was an avid golfer, playing at Western Hills and Hindman Park golf courses. He loved gardening and bowling and was a devoted Razorback fan; but most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Services will be held at 12 noon Friday, December 19 at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), Little Rock, officiated by Rev. Gary Hollingsworth. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Pulaski County, 14600 Colonel Glenn Rd., Little Rock, AR 72210.
