Billy Jackson
Billy F. Jackson, age 77, of Arkadelphia, died Thursday, August 4, 2011 at his home. He was born October 1, 1933 in Maulden, AR the son of Earnest and Ella Lee Jackson. He retired after 44 years of service with Entergy Power Company, he was a member of Second Baptist Church where served as Deacon and member of The Men's Bible Class, and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. One of Billy's passions was refereeing high school and college football and basketball.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Dotty Fitzgereld Jackson, two daughters, Patti Smith of St. Louis, MO and Paula Engeler of Mt. Home, AR, four granddaughters, Kari Felton, Kristi Smith, Nikki Hodge and Megan Engeler, four great grandchildren, Cody, Summer, Ryan, and Bryson.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Sunday, August 7th in the Second Baptist Church of Arkadelphia with Rev. Stan Paris and Dr. Lee McGlone officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Saturday in Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.
Memorials may to the Second Baptist Church Building Fund.
