Billy R. Gray, 81, of Perryville passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2007. He was of the Baptist faith and a 40 year member of Amboy Baptist Church in North Little Rock. He was a U.S. Naval veteran during World War II serving on the USS Indiana from 1943 to 1946. He was a 32 degree mason and a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge #238 of Perryville; a lifetime member of the Scimitar Shrine Temple, a member of the Perryville Arkansas Chapter of VFW; and a lifetime member of the American Legion Arkansas Post #1000.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy Gray, of Perryville; son, Billy Ray Gray, Jr., of Highlands, North Carolina; daughter, Deborah Gray Pruitt and husband, Perry, of Vincennes, Indiana; two granddaughters, Erin Carden, of Conway and Kate Hartman, of Kentland, Indiana; and four great-granddaughters and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Hutchins and brother, Kelly M. ?Ted? Gray.
Pallbearers will be John Williams, Ray Byrd, Darrell Doughty, Kenneth Brandon, John Lee, Matt Smithpeters, Jeff Gray and Doug Hartman. Honorary pallbearers will be Perry Pruitt, Nelson Carden, Bill Jones, Dr. Ben Hyatt, John Roland, Gary Paul Tucker, Sonny Carter and Herby Branscum.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M., Saturday at First Baptist Church of Perryville. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
