Billy Joe Duncan, 78, of Benton, died Saturday, March 2, 2024 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Little Rock after a short illness.
He was born July 16, 1945 to the late Ruben Jesse and Evelyn Marie Duncan. Billy was one of ten children born to his parents. Brothers Jess, Paul Harvey, Larry James, Michael Lynn, Charles Ray, and sisters, Betty Jean, Mary Francis, Joan Evelyn, and Ann, and foster son, Ronnie Smisek.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Callaway-Duncan; sons, Steve of Rowlett, TX and Jeff of Benton; daughter; Renea of Benton; stepsons, Heath Noggle of Benton, Allen Brinkman of West Plains, MO, and Eric Brinkman of Ozan, AR; stepdaughters, Rachel Vandegrift of Jonesboro, and Rachel Blair of Little Rock; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends who all will miss him dearly.
Billy was a Navy Veteran. He was a tissue and bone donor in memory of his late wife, Sherry Ann Duncan, who preceded him in death from ALS.
Visitation is Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Spring Creek Baptist Church in Benton. Memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Smith-Benton Funeral Home.
