Bill Brake, age 87, of Hot Springs, passed away Monday, December 6, 2021.
He was born on April 5, 1934, in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Herbert Brake and Ora Welch Brake. He is preceded in death by his parents; the wife of his daughter, Mary Brake; and his son-in-law, Ronald Tremonti.
Bill was a Christian and member of Social Hill Baptist Church. He owned and operated his own business, Fabric-Matic, in Rochester, Michigan until retiring at the age of 55, when he returned back to Hot Springs. He was an avid outdoorsman who deer hunted and loved camping. Bill shot skeet often and was a state champion for several years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
He is survived by his daughter, Brenda Tremonti of Hot Springs; three grandsons, Tyler Tremonti of Hot Springs, Aaron Tremonti of Rogers and Jason McMurrian of Royal Oak, Michigan; one great-granddaughter, Madilynn McMurrian; one sister, Peggy Wann of St. Louis, Missouri; nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of wonderful friends.
Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.
