Billy "Bill" Clyde Priest

Billy “Bill” Clyde Priest 82, passed away peacefully at home with his children who loved him dearly. He was born February 11, 1940, to Florene Priest in North Little Rock, AR. He was raised by his mother in the Levy area, was a graduate of Ole Main High School and was baptized in the Church of Christ.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife and best friend Linda Carol Priest, his mother Florene Priest, father-in-law, and mother-in-law Bill and Juretia Hooks and niece Brandy Priest, niece Christy Hooks and nephew Nathan Hooks.

Bill is survived by his 3 children, Marion Lee (Stacy) Watson, Stacy Lynn (Troy) Alberson and Mitchell Flynn (Heather) Priest, 7 grandchildren: Lindsey Nicole Watson, Billy Chase (Caitlin) Watson, Christian Nathaniel Alberson, Shelly Renee Alberson, Belle Kaylynne Dean, Abbie Michelle Priest and Charlie Raye Priest and his brother Bing Edward (Pat) Priest, and his brother and sister in laws Steve (Judy) Hooks, Dewayne (Tresa) Hooks and Brenda (Phil) Patterson and many nieces, nephews who will miss him dearly. Bill had the very best neighbors who helped him throughout the years who he loved like family, Danny and Brandy Greeno and Bruce and Rhonda Maxwell.

Bill enjoyed 55 years of marriage to the love of his life Linda. They loved traveling and spoiling their children and grandchildren. Bill enlisted in the Navy during Vietnam and then studied to become a draftsman and started his career with Sam Davis Engineering. Later he worked many years with Brooks & Curry Survey and Drafting as well as for himself Priest Drafting until his retirement. Bill was an avid deer hunter, loved to fish, enjoy a cold beer, reading books, gardening, cook, work on the driveway with his tractor and go on long drives in his convertible. He was a jokester who loved a good laugh and to share stories of his wild and crazy days. We think Dad said it best… “I had a wonderful life, and I wouldn’t change a thing.”

The family would like to thank Dr. Wilder with CARTI and all the nurses and caregivers with Hospice Home Care for their love and support.

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled in the next few weeks at his home in Paron, AR.
