Billy Gene "Bill" Arrington, 74, of Sherwood, loving father and grandfather departed this life March 17, 2010. He was born in Bayou Meto, Arkansas on July 1, 1935 to Carroll and Bertie Arrington.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Gus Arrington and his parents.
Bill is survived by two daughters Kim Mangold (Sean) of North Little Rock, Kelli Pena (Mark) of Cabot; sister, Susie Bass of North Little Rock; brother, James Arrington of Sherwood; four grandchildren, Meghan, Morgan, McKenzie Pena, Drew Hearne; special companion, Mary Williams of Sherwood; and a host of friends and family.
Bill was a member of IBEW Local 295, past member of the Masonic Lodge of Sylvan Hills, and a wholesale car dealer for 41 years until his death. Bill will be remembered as a generous man who loved family, friends and sports. He never met a stranger. His smile and witty sense of humor will truly be missed.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Cabot Apostolic Church, Hwy 321, Cabot. Burial will be in Rest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main, 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
