Billie Rush

Billie Leon Rush, 76, of Mabelvale, died Sunday, August 1, 2010. Born in Locust Grove, AR to Ordan and Estelle Thorn Rush he was a retired Bus Driver and a Navy Veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years and lifelong friend, Anna Lou Rush; one son, Grady Rush (Joyce); three daughters, Derenda Hill (Steve), Marilynn Lienhart (Jim), and Pam Burks (George); six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren and one on the way; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Minnie Metcalf.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 3 from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Sidney, Arkansas with Rev. Robert Hutchinson officiating. Special Thanks to Dr. Lehmberg, Dr. Croker, nurses and staff on 6C and 6E at the Little Rock VA Hospital. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 901 N. University, Little Rock, AR 72207; The Arthritis Foundation, 6213 Father Tribou St., Little Rock, AR 72205; or to VA Palliative Care, 4300 W. 7th St., Little Rock, AR 72205.
