Billie Jean Moore, 81, of Conway, died August 15, 2010. She was born in North Little Rock, Arkansas on June 7, 1929, to George and Ethel Bright Rushing. She was a Baptist and a retired dietitian after serving many years at the VA Hospital in Little Rock.
She is survived by two sons, Ronnie Moore (Beverly Jo) of Perryville and David Moore of Mayflower; one daughter, Janice Davis (Charlie) of Conway; one brother, John Henry Rushing (Barbara) of Little Rock; eleven grandchildren; thirty great- grandchildren; six great-great- grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Marie Rushing of Mabelvale and Mary Brown of Little Rock. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Jerry Morrill, Flo Staggs and Evaline Stone; three brothers, Carroll, Marvin and Buster Rushing; and one daughter, Barbara Nowlin.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 18 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Funeral Services will be Thursday, August 19 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Little Rock Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Burris and Mr. Bruce Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.
