Billie Louis Johnson, of Beebe, Arkansas, went to meet his Lord, Saturday, April 14, 2012. He was born August 16, 1937 at Pickles Gap, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his father, Julious Johnson; his mother, Nora Harris; stepdad, Hartford Harris; and a brother, Guy Harris. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Peggy; daughter Teri Roper (Dwayne); son, Steve Johnson (Pat); brother, Billy Faye Harris (Wanda); sister, Emma Ruth Harris; grandchildren, Abigail Roper, Rachel Roper, Denise Smith (Koby), Terry Woerner (Dewayne), Kim Swint (Ricky), Jimmy Covington (Amanda); and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Johnson was a member of the Church of Christ and loved his church family. He was retired from ITT Automotive, where he was shipping and receiving foreman. After retirement he loved to fish and spend time at his second home on the Little Red River. Most of all he enjoyed the time with Abigail, the apple of his eye.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Rest Hills. www.westbrookfuneralhome.com
