Billie Jo Fowlkes, 85, of Conway, Arkansas, was born November 14, 1928 at El Paso, Arkansas to James Oliver and Josie (Colbert) Riley, and she died Sunday, July 6, 2014.
Billie Jo enjoyed living on the family farm and cooking. She was a lifelong member of Oak Church of Christ. While at Heritage Living Center, she provided much pleasure and joy for those around her.
She is survived by three sons, John Fowlkes, Jr. (Rachel) of Greenbrier, David H. Fowlkes (Sue) of Jonesboro and Stephen Fowlkes (Angie) of Muldrow, Oklahoma; daughter, Barbara Fowlkes of Romance; eight grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Betty Graham of North Little Rock; and a host of friends and other family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Fowlkes, Sr.; her parents; brother, James Riley; sisters Ann Phillips, Sug Miller and Dean Flowers.
Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Arkansas, 201 Markham Center Drive, Little Rock, AR 72205.
Family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe, with funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Oliver Cemetery. Arrangements by Westbrook, a Smith Family Funeral Home.
