Bill W. Parker passed on to heaven on Oct 17, 2006. He was born on Oct 29, 1931, to Joseph and Zella Parker in Sparkman, AR. He was deeply loved by his wife, Debi Raasch Parker, his children, Gail Parker, Lisa and David Ford, Greg and Suzy Parker, and his grandchildren, Brian, Lauren, Rachel and Sarah, who always knew him as their Poppa Bill. He is also survived by his sister, Mildred Kent, and the mother of his children, Joyce Parker and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
A distinguishable man, Mr. P. began his business career in 1957 in appliance refinishing. Through the years, he acquired several other companies whose growth expanded throughout Texas and the Southwest. He was a man of his word, trusted and respected. He was blessed with loyal associates, and great business partners. Being a rancher at heart, Bill semi-retired in 1989 to a small ranch in Cook Co., TX. He found peace in the land, the trees, the animals, the work and all that surrounded him. We will miss him very much, but we will never forget his loving smile, his strong handshake, his charitable heart, and all the wonderful times we had together.
