Bill Cates
Bill L. Cates, 82, of Beebe, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord Monday, November 28, 2011. He was an agriculture teacher at Beebe High School in the 1960's. Bill retired from Farmers Home Administration and was an Army veteran. Bill was a member of the Antioch Community Church.
He is survived by his son, John Cates of Beebe; his daughter, Nancy McKay and husband Harry of Cabot; daughter-in-law Karen Cates of Ward; grandchildren, Brad (Whitney), David and Morgan McKay, Jessica, Sara, Cody and Holden Cates; two great-grandchildren, Cash Cathey and Carter McKay; one brother, Gene Cates and one sister, Maudileen Bartholomew, both of Hogeye, many nieces and nephews and other extended family members. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann Cates and brother, Earl Cates.
Family will receive friends and family from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 2, 2011, at Antioch Community Church, with burial in Antioch Cemetery.
