Beverly Ann Townsend Tatman, 82, peacefully passed away on October 18, 2014. Born September 5, 1932 in Pine Bluff, AR, she was the eldest child of the late Betty and Fletcher Townsend. She graduated from Pine Bluff High School and attended the University of Arkansas where she was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. August 21, 1952 she married Donald McMillan (Mac)Tatman and in 1955 they moved to Arkadelphia. Beverly was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, past president of Presbyterian Women where she received the Lifetime Membership award, Sunday school teacher, choir member and elder. She was a founding member of Chapter BB P.E.O. Sisterhood, served twice as the chapter president and was recently recognized as a 50 year member. She was a member of Philharmonic Music Club and former sponsor of Beta Sigma Phi. Most of all, Beverly was a very loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, mother in-law, and great grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Mac, daughter Leslie Rapley (Gil)of Atlanta, GA, son, Scott Tatman (Kim) of Arkadelphia, four grandchildren, Mac, Melissa, Anna and Nancy, one great grandson, Daniel; brother, James F. Townsend, Jr. of Pine Bluff, AR and, sister, Judith Townsend Spencer of Lebanon, TN. Beverly enjoyed traveling, growing and arranging flowers and playing bridge with friends. Her greatest joy was her family.

A memorial service will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, October 21st in the First Presbyterian Church of Arkadelphia with Pastor Kendall Land officiating. There will be no formal visitation. Interment will be private. The family suggests that memorials be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Arkadelphia, 1220 Pine St., Arkadelphia, AR 71923.
