Beverly Rice

Beverly Jean (Smith) Rice, 75, of Jacksonville formerly of North Little Rock passed away Monday, May 3, 2010 after a brief illness. She was born to Marian and Henry Norman Smith on January 20, 1935 and was retired from Chicopee after 40 years and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Beverly had an especially vibrant joy for life, which she lived to the fullest. She loved golf, she was a master bridge player, and loved traveling, especially her frequent trips to Tunica, among many other interests. Among her greatest joys was spending time with her family and numerous friends enjoying life to its' fullest extent.
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Don Earl Rice, and brother Henry Norman "Skip" Smith. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie and husband Bill Curren, of North Little Rock; son Greg and wife Wendy Rice, of Little Rock; grandchildren Bryan (Sheri) Davenport, Brad Davenport, Raven Rice and Remington Rice. Great grandchildren are Tyler, Sydney and Kayla Davenport and Gavin Gregory Rice. She is also survived by a very special person in her life, Clark Hastings, of Jacksonville, and dog Millie plus a host of very dear friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street, 758-1170, on Friday, May 7th. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 8th at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 7000 JFK Blvd., North Little Rock.
