Beverly Lou (Knutson) LaMaide

 

Beverly Lou (Knutson) LaMaide, 84, of Menominee, MI died of a broken heart on November 25, 2022 after losing her loving husband of 64 years, Larry LaMaide, on October 27, 2022. Beverly passed away at the Lakewood Rehabilitation Center in Hot Springs, AR after suffering a heart attack.

 

She was born in Menominee, MI to the late Lawrence and Lucille (Thoney) Knutson on February 14th, 1938.

 

She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church of Menominee, MI where she sang in the choir and was past treasurer of St. Ann Sodality for many years.  

 

Bev was an avid reader and loved to crochet.  She enjoyed going on trips to the casino and watching the Green Bay Packers.  Her face would always light up when she saw her grandchildren and always loved to hear about their accomplishments.  She will be greatly missed.

 

Bev is survived by daughters, Lori (Mike) Deeter of Menominee, MI and Mary (Joe) Luke of Hot Springs, AR.  Grandchildren, Jason (Jill) Lauzer of Green Bay, WI, Kevin Lauzer of Menominee, MI, Rebekah (Bryan) Koepp and Erikah Lange of Glendale, WI and Brody and Lucy Luke of Hot Springs, AR.  Great grandchildren, Austin Lauzer, Sadie, Eva and Alexa Ruelle of Green Bay, WI.  

 

She is further survived by sister and brother-in-law, Donna (Marvin) Wellner of Menominee, MI, brother, Jerry Knutson of Menominee MI, sisters-in-law, Rosalee (Don) Crawford of Bark River, MI,Anne (John)Torreano of Escanaba, MI, Mary Kay (Randy) Carlson of Gladstone, MI and Cecelia Brown of Parkersburg, WV, brothers-in-law, Pat LaMaide of Hermansville, MI and Harvey LaMaide of Nashville, TN and many nieces and nephews.

 

Bev was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence, their daughter, Debbie and son-in-law, Lloyd Lange of Peshtigo, WI, her sister and brother-in- law, Judy and Warren Nelson and brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Bonnie Knutson of Menominee, MI.

 

Bev will be buried at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in Little Rock, AR with her husband, Larry.  There will be a Memorial Service in Menominee, MI at a later date to be decided.

 

Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home, 2205 Airport Road, Hot Springs, AR 71913.
