Beverly Jan Webb, age 69, of Little Rock passed much too soon following a fall in her home on Thursday evening, August 24th 2023. Born in Fort Worth, TX, October 2nd 1953, she was one of four children born to Norman and Anne Pearre Webb. She was a mere 13 minutes older than her twin sister, Elizabeth Anne Webb (Beth). She is survived by Beth, and her brother William Wayne (Bill) Webb. She is predeceased by her parents and her brother David Vincent Webb. She is survived by two nieces, Stefanie Webb Cisneros of San Antonio, TX and Anna Marcella Webb of Oklahoma.
Beverly retired from the State of Arkansas where she was a Purchasing and Procurements Agent. She received many awards and recognition for her flawless work ethics.
Beverly loved history and she was a member of the Gilbert Marshall Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, the Simon Bradford Chapter U.S. Daughters 1812 and was currently serving as President of the General T. J. Churchill Chapter, United Daughters of the Confederacy, a position she held for the last 7 years. She was very proud of her UDC membership in honor of her ancestor, Humphrey O. Pearre, Co. K, 43rd GA Infantry. Beverly’s leadership and thorough dedication to yearly UDC reports resulted in many awards for the Churchill Chapter.
She was very active in working with the Veterans Administration, attending many funerals for homeless Veterans and providing receptions for many events. She was a Veterans Affairs Voluntary Services volunteer. She delivered Christmas greetings, socks and gifts to the veterans housed at Fort Roots. She was an avid supporter of Vietnam era veterans. Each December, in coordination with the U.S. Daughters 1812, she placed wreaths to honor the unknown soldiers at the National Cemetery. She participated in placing flags and Christmas wreaths at the AR State Veterans Cemetery. Beverly supported a number of animal rescue organizations. She even symbolically adopted an elephant!
A 1971 graduate of Little Rock’s Central High School, she maintained a close relationship with her fellow classmates since graduation. Once Beverly was a friend, she was a lifetime friend.
Beverly was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, where her father, was the organist for Immanuel for many years, and it is an honor that the Reverend Dr. Rex Horne Jr. will officiate her memorial service.
Beverly’s classy style, her kindness, her generosity, and love for history will long be remembered by the many lives she touched. Her faith, love, and devotion to her family and pets was a shining example of the compassion that we should each strive to hold within ourselves.
Beverly had a love and a lifetime dream to visit Egypt. We know that she has a beautiful view from heaven.
Our dear sweet Beverly, if every tear we shed for you became a star above, you'd stroll in Angels' garden lit by everlasting love.
