Bettye Sue Tester

Bettye Sue Tester, 93, left her earthly home on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 to join the love of her life, Royce Tester in their Heavenly home. 

Bettye was in her element when she hosted friends and family.  She spoiled her kids and grandkids by hosting family birthday gatherings.  She always let the guest of honor select their birthday menu.  Her famous yeast rolls were a family favorite.

For years, Bettye labored over frying the Christmas quail provided by Royce and Joel’s yearly hunts for the family’s Christmas Day Brunch.  Bettye was an outstanding cook!  Many memories were made celebrating Mother’s Day picnicking on Petit Jean Mountain or at Dean and Lloyd Cupps’ house which included fishing at the pond.  Bettye loved to fish!  Another one of her favorite pastimes included weekend trips to Oaklawn Race Track with Royce and in later years with her racing buddy, Lillian Fitch.

Left to grieve and celebrate her memory are Karen (daughter) and Greg Doak, Joel (son) and Renee Tester; grandchildren:  Sean Doak, Courtney Grooms (Ryan) and Jake Tester; and nephew, Stephen Raper (Tina and Stephanie). She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and sister, Alice Raper.

Visitation begins at 12:30 pm, followed by the Funeral at 1:30 pm, Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
