Bettye Jo Albright, 89, of North Little Rock, stepped into eternity February 28, 2021. She was born December 17, 1931 in Van Buren, Arkansas to the late Ray M. and Kathryne Boling McIntyre. Bettye was a devoted wife, an amazing mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother, as well as an extraordinary friend. She worked 37 years in administration for the North Little Rock School District. In retirement, she enjoyed a second career making sure all ran smoothly at Teachers Pet Preschool. Many families credit Mrs. Bettye for making morning drop offs an enjoyable experience for their children. Bettye was an avid reader as well as an enthusiastic card player. A member of the same Bridge Club for over 60 years, she met weekly with this special group of friends. She shared her love of card games with both her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be remembered as a woman of strong character and faith with a ready quip and gregarious laugh. She found her greatest joys in her family and in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ whom she served as a teacher at Central Baptist Church for four decades. Her husband of 60 years, James Gray Albright (2011), her brother Ray M. McIntyre, Jr. (2015), and her grandson, Justin Gray Albright (2015), also preceded her in death.
Left to remember her legacy are her daughter, Deborah Rae Burns; son, James Gray (Karen) Albright Jr.; granddaughter, Jordan Elizabeth (Luke) King; grandsons, Adam James Burns and Andrew Lee Burns; great grandchildren, Georgia Grace King, and Davis Fielding King. Bettye will be dearly missed by a host of extended family and friends, namely, Bobbye Lively and Belinda Brolo who enjoyed weekly lunch and shopping outings with her for many years.
