Betty Tucker, age 80, of Amity, passed away on Monday, June 18, 2018. She was born on March 23, 1938, in Dover, the daughter of Samuel Jefferson Moore and Lela Mae Freeman Moore. She was married to Robert Ray Tucker, Sr. on May 30, 1973. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Irene Smith; and three brothers, Virgil Moore, Lindsey Moore and Harold Moore. When her health would allow her she attended Caney Baptist Church in Bismarck. She had a special way of meeting people and always enjoyed talking and sharing her special stories and will always be remembered for her outgoing personality. A true animal lover, she owned and cared for race horses, enjoyed going to the horses races and especially loved taking care of her dogs. Bettys greatest joy in life was being a housewife and taking care of her family. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who will be deeply missed by all. She is survived by her husband, Robert Tucker, Sr. of Amity; her children and their spouses, Sharon Adkison of Jacksonville, Ronnie and Debbie Greathouse of Ashdown, Randy and Lisa Greathouse of Bismarck, Ricky and Keli Greathouse of Hot Springs and Robert and Jackie Tucker of Glenwood; 8 grandchildren and their spouses, Jennifer and Paul Owens, Lonni and Dewayne Dollarhide, Lynze and Shaina Greathouse, Drew and Justin Nash, Carter Greathouse, Brody Tucker, Jonathon and Haleigh Elmore and Christina and Jeston Hobgood; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends. Services will be held at 2:30 PM, Thursday, June 21, 2018, in the Caney Baptist Church in Bismarck with Bro. Pat Greer officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Interment will be in the Hickory Grove Cemetery in Bismarck. Pallbearers will be her sons and grandsons, Ronnie Greathouse, Randy Greathouse, Ricky Greathouse, Robert Tucker, Jr., Carter Greathouse and Brody Tucker.
