Betty Jean Avery Terrell, 89, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away peacefully on December 31, 2020. She was born to Herman and Lillian Knabe Avery on February 26, 1931. She earned her BS from the University of Arkansas in education and taught for many years in Texas and Arkansas. She was a teacher for many years and a member of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Jerrell Terrell, her parents, and six siblings.
She is survived by her sons, Alan Terrell (Gwen), Wade Terrell (Tammy), and Shay Terrell (Melissa); six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and her brother, Johnny Avery.

A Celebration of her Life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, 23908 Colonel Glenn Rd, Little Rock, AR 72210. Covid-19 Restrictions will be followed- masks will be required.
