On Monday, May 6, 2024, Betty Lou Tanner, 86, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Glen Tanner Sr; daughter, Monica Lynn Williams; parents, Edgar âRedâ Ferguson and Opal Mae Harvey Bryant; stepfather, James âElmerâ Bryant; three brothers, Don Ferguson, Harrell Ferguson, and Earl Ferguson; and two sisters, Ellen Adcock and Anna May Willis.
She is survived by her son, Glen Tanner and wife Pam, of Cabot; two brothers, Jimmy Bryant (Cindy) and Lewis Bryant (Ann); six grandchildren, Erin Ragan (Casey), Sarah Martin (Luke), Samantha Harris (Shea), Kayla Brown, Matthew Williams, and Bradley Tanner; eleven great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Betty was born June 9, 1937, in England, Arkansas. She was a loving wife, mother, Mamaw, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a member of First Baptist in Cabot. Betty was a jokester by nature. If she picked on you, you knew she liked you. She loved to spoil her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.
Visitation will start at 10am at the Griffin Leggett Conway Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 12pm at the Carlisle Cemetery on May 10th, 2024
