Betty Pass Simmons

Betty Pass Simmons, age 61, of Glenwood, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2017. She was born on September 9, 1955 in Kaufman, Texas. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Robert Lee Gardner; and her father, Robert Taylor, Jr. A certified nursing assistant, she worked in nursing homes for 25 years, something she truly loved to do. She enjoyed helping her friends, as well as, planting and caring for her flowers and plants. She is survived by her husband, Billy Thomas Simmons of Glenwood; two children, Tina M. Jacks and Brian Keith Stephen, both of Athens, Texas; four grandchildren, Krysta Michelle Wilson Moore, Colton Allen Jacks, Dustin Taylor Jacks and Danielle Elise Smith; one great-grandchild, Jayden Moore; her close friend, Charlene Manley; and a host of extended family and friends. Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, February 4, 2017, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. Ryan Tilley officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, 2:00 PM until service time, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
