Betty Nestor

Betty Jean "Boots" (Griffin) Nestor, age 80, of North Little Rock, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on February 7, 2017.
Boots was born on June 27, 1936, in Harrison County, West Virginia. The daughter of the late Clifford and Reva Griffin, Boots grew up in both Mannington and Shinnston, West Virginia.
After the family moved to Akron, Ohio, Boots met and married the love of her life, Charles H. "Chuck" Nestor, on November 21, 1956. Chuck, a pilot in the United States Air Force, was stationed at bases around the world and the United States. They raised their three children, Sherry, Cathy, and Chuck, during his years in the service.
Boots was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She was very proud of her family and was excited to become "Mammaw" to her eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Boots loved holidays and family get-togethers; any chance to spend time with her family was important to her. She would spend hours cooking and preparing for her company. After Chuck retired, the couple traveled extensively, cruising various locations in the Caribbean and Pacific.
Boots was the beloved wife of Lt. Col Charles H. Nestor, USAF Ret, devoted mother of Sherry Trickey of Benbrook, Texas; Cathy Friedl of Sherwood, Arkansas; and Chuck Nestor of Sherwood, Arkansas. She was also the loving Mammaw of Courtney Lackey, Ellie Lackey, and Amanda Trickey; Megan Scheeler, Erin Leonard, Caitlin Leonard, Colton Leonard, and Hannah Friedl; and Stephen Christensen.
