Betty Morgan

Betty J. Morgan, 74, of Little Rock, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2006. She was born on September 4, 1931 in Humphrey, Arkansas to Ed Earl and Ida Crockett Ball. Her parents and her husband, Bobby R. Morgan, preceded her in death. She was a member of Park Hill Baptist Church, the American and Arkansas Library Associations, Alpha Delta Kappa and Kappa Kappa Iota. Betty enjoyed her years teaching elementary school children in Humnoke and in the North Little Rock School District, and was the school librarian at Lakewood Junior High. She was a Supervisor for the Arkansas State Department of Education, and also the North Central Accreditation Supervisor for school libraries in Arkansas.
Survivors include her daughter, Pamela J. Briggs; brother, Billy E. Ball; three sisters, Mildred Morrison, Peggy Doolittle and Dian Ball; granddaughter, Brandy Hubener and her husband, Chris; great-grandchildren, Ella and Briggs Hubener; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 30, 2006 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Court, Little Rock. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at 12:00 p.m., at Park Hill Baptist Church, 201 East "C" Street, North Little Rock, with Dr. Cary Heard officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Hills Memorial Park in Sherwood. Memorials may be made to Park Hill Baptist Church. Arrangements by Little Rock Funeral Home (501) 224-2200.
