Betty Johnson

Betty Lou Williams Johnson, 81, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 13, 2018. She was born to Leonard and Lillian Culpepper Williams on July 5, 1937 in Sheridan, Arkansas. She was a member of Union Valley Baptist Church and had a heart that served the Lord. She worked as a telephone operator and babysitting where she had a passion and love for her kids. Betty had Bible study time for all of the kids that she kept. She loved spending time with her family and friends while telling others about her Savior. She was loved and adored by many.
She is preceded in death by her father and mother; brother Ellis Williams; sisters Dora Lee Nelson, Lyndell Gosnell and Martha Brown; son Larry Johnson; and grandson John Stout.
Betty is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 57 years, Sidney Johnson; children Brian (Vickey) Johnson and Rodney Johnson of Beebe; daughter-in-law Lenora Johnson of Beebe; grandchildren John (Janaia) Johnson, Lora (Mark) Crisco, Melinda Johnson, and Nora (Dustin) Murillo of Beebe; sisters Mary (Walt) Sanders of California, Margie Camp of White Hall, Patsy Williams of Sheridan, and Connie Jacks of Beebe; as well as a host of extended family.
She has requested instead of flowers, she would like family and friends to donate to Arkansas Hospice, Gideon Bibles, or Union Valley Baptist Church.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Memorial Service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 16, 2018, at Union Valley Baptist Church. Cremation arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home. www.SmithFamilyCares.com
