Betty Jo Draper Fant

Betty Jo Draper Fant, age 78, of Kirby, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2011, at the Nashville Hospital. She was born on November 24, 1932, at Daisy, the daughter of Eb Draper and Artha Mack Draper. She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Harold Draper, Vernon Draper and Don Draper. She was a member of the Daisy Church of Christ. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Eugene Fant of Kirby; one daughter and son-in-law, Marcia and Mike Haggard of Kirby; two sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Karen Fant of Kirby and Brent and Tasha Fant of Nashville; six (extremely spoiled by her) granddaughters, Lori Haggard Harper, Misti Haggard Strasner, Alissa Haggard Kelley, Casey Fant and Maya Fant; one (extremely double spoiled by her) grandson, Jonah Fant; eight great-grandchildren, Reagon, Kendall, Jedidiah, Sophie, Samuel, Landon, Kamry and Taylor; one brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Blenda Draper of Kirby; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Ima Tedder of Daisy, Lema and Ford Massey of Kirby, Melba and Bud Kennedy of Murfreesboro and Pat and Leroy Funderburk of Kirby; five sisters-in-law, Joan Draper, Cathy Fant, Janelle Fant, Nola Fant and Athel Ayers and her husband, Sonny; one brother-in-law, Samp Fant and his wife, Billie; and numerous nieces and nephews, who she loved dearly. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 17, 2011, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. Harold Vaughn and Bro. Ed Coffman officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in the Mount Joy Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Kevin Kelley, Jerry Strasner, Josh Harper, Scott Funderburk, Mike Ayers and Klint Tedder. Honorary pallbearers will be Phil and Kendall O'Neal, Junior, Keith and Eric Tedder, Alan Kennedy, Russell Draper, Steve Draper, Diane Tedder Owens, Lisa Funderburk Sutton, Candi Funderburk Golden, Mindy Draper Mooney, Viki Kennedy Posey and Donna Gail Draper Brummet.
