Betty Jean Ford

Betty Jean Ford, age 61, of Salem passed away Friday, January 23, 2015, at her home. She was born on July 1, 1953 at Norfolk, Virginia, the daughter of Byrl George Bledsoe and Laura Imogene Blake Bledsoe. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Buck Cogburn; her granddaughter, Aubrielle Cogburn; her brothers, Thomas Bledsoe, Skipper Bledsoe and Binky Bledsoe; and her uncles, Eddie Blake and Buddy Blake. She is survived by her husband, Michael Laws of Salem; her son, Chris Ford of Salem; her daughters, Lorie Hill of Salem and Cindy Porter of Arkadelphia; her grandchildren, Brandy Cogburn, Erica Cogburn, Bethany Mars, Jamie Mars, David Mars, Mini Mark Herod, Eryn Herod, Abigail Herod, Shaylene Porter, Logan Porter, Sarita Porter, Mia Ford, Elizabeth Ford and Jason Friely; her great-grandchildren, Dylan Taylor and Gavin Taylor; her brother, Boss Bledsoe of Glenwood; her very special friends, Ruth Laws, Jessica Laws, Michael Laws, Jr., Debra Nichols and Rex Tolleson; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held by the family at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 31, 2015, in the Hilltop Church with Bro. Brian Adair officiating with interment in the Fancy Hill Cemetery following the service. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
