She was born on December 26, 1940, in Forrester, the daughter of Gus Welch and Lena Blackwell Welch.  On January 2, 1959, she was married to the love of her life, Preston Thomas “P.T.” Henry, who preceded her in death on August 17, 2012.  She was also preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Jenny Lee; her son-in-law, Terry Garrison; and her sister, Virginia Smith.
