Betty Lorece ?MawMaw? Graves passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2009. She was born July 20, 1921 in Bunn, Arkansas to W. M. and Sarah L. Childers. In the 1970?s she babysat at Indian Hills Methodist and Baptist churches where she was given the honored title "Maw Maw?.
She was preceeded in death by her parents, four brothers, three sisters, husbands Bart Graves and Leon Smith and step daughter Lawanda Brumett. She is survived by daughter Brenda Smith Emerson, granddaughter Tammy Emerson, great-granddaughter Bailey Shumate, favorite son-in-law Jimmy Emerson, step-granddaughters Pam (Michael) Fox, all of North Little Rock, Yvonne Bowman of Little Rock, step-grandson Buddy Brumett of Austin, sisters Carrie Brashears of Malvern and Ruby Childers of El Paso, Texas.
Visitation will be Friday, March 13 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at North Little Rock Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Saturday, March 14 at 10:00 a.m. at North Little Rock Funeral Home followed by burial at 1:00 p.m. at Kennedy Cemetery in Cleveland County.
