Betty Olene Crook

Betty Olene Palmer Crook, 93, born August 7th 1931 in Saline County Arkansas, passed away Saturday August 24, 2024. The 3rd of 17 children to the late Omer and Lillian Kindy Palmer.

Betty was a longtime active member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, Pulaski Co. AR., joining in 1948. She loved singing in the choir. She was a member of ladies auxiliary and past Sunday school teacher at Landmark. A graduate of Little Rock High, class of 49. She worked the counter at McClellan’s while in school and then at Vanness Pen Shop for over 25 years.

Preceded in death by her husband Wm. Elmer Crook Jr. (W.E.) Brothers Doyle Palmer, Gordon Palmer, Frankie Palmer, Larry Palmer, Arron Palmer. Sisters Louise Young, Martha Hardin, Elaine Coon, Faye Lynn Jennings, and Baby Sister. 

Survived by her son Wm. Terryl Crook (Patty),daughter Cheryl Lynn Gaskin, Grandson Garran Lewellen, Granddaughters, Kelli Ward, Katie Hickey, four Great Grandchildren; brothers, Tommy Palmer and Ricky Palmer (Delores), sisters ; Bonnie Jett, Peggy Morris, Patsy Barnhill (George), Oma Lou Mellor sisters-in-law Marilyn Palmer, Betty Palmer, and many nieces, nephews, cousin’s and friends.
