Betty Bradford

Betty Bradford, 68, of Beebe, Arkansas, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 31, 2009. She was born February 26, 1941, in Beebe. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard James Rettig and Flora Rettig Holgate; three brothers, Charles Rettig, Roy Rettig and Kelly Rettig.
Betty was a member of Harrison Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. She worked as a lab and x-ray technician at Kinley-Norris Clinic for thirty-four years and retired to a family business, Superior Mat and Towel. She is survived by her husband of fifty years, L. C. Bradford; two daughters, Cindy Joslin (Eddie) and Susan Luck (Keevin); four grandchildren, Ross and Sam Stroud and Ashton and Madison Luck; two sisters, Fran Howton and Bobbie Bagshaw (Lloyd), all of Beebe, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bett was known for her nurturing and caring nature. Even though her family was the center of her life, she loved doing for others. She was a wonderful cook and used that gift to comfort her friends and family when they were sick or to celebrate a special occasion and sometimes for no reason at all, which she called "just a love present". She blessed our lives with beauty and grace; we will miss her forever.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 3, 2009, at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
