Bertha Mae Jones

Bertha Mae Jones, 97, of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Twin Rivers Health and Rehab in Arkadelphia.

She was born October 7, 1926, in Hayti, Missouri, to William Henry Wright and Lola West Wright.

Bertha retired from The Human Development Center, and she was a proud grandmother.

Bertha was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Willie Jones and one granddaughter: Angie Duke.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Ellis (Linda) Jones of Arkadelphia; her grandchildren: Terri (Albert) Bland of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Stephen Jones of Richmond, California and Danielle (Chipper) Long of Mountain Pine, Arkansas; nine great grandchildren and thirteen great great grandchildren with one due in December.

A visitation will be held Monday, October 30, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Ruggles Wilcox Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Her son, Ellis Jones will officiate.

Interment will be at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Arkadelphia.

The family wishes to give a special thank you to Twin Rivers Health and Rehab for their excellent care of Bertha.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association.
