Bertha L. Bishop, 94, formerly of Arkadelphia, AR died Saturday, September 16, 2006 at Idabel, OK.  She was born October 14, 1911 in Arkadelphia, the daughter of David H. & Lydia Dodgens Tarver.  She was a homemaker, and a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist church.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Bishop, her parents, three brothers, and a sister.
 
Survivors include three sons, Billy Joe & wife Letha Bishop of Foreman, AR, Bobby Lynn & wife Judy Bishop of Wright City, OK, and Charles Edward and wife Judy Bishop of Mt. Vernon, TX; a niece, Lorene Mitchell, who was just like a daughter, of Midwest City, OK; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 5 nieces; and 1 nephew.
 
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday September 19, 2006 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, with Dr. John Small officiating.  Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Charles W. Bishop, Kenny Bishop, Bobby Bishop, Terry L. Bishop, Mitchell Bishop, Bill Frazier, Steve Trim, and James Cody.
