Bernard Spencer

Bernard Coy Spencer was born December 14, 1964 in McGehee, Arkansas, to Annie Reed Spencer and Allen Charles Spencer. Coy spent his childhood in Little Rock, Arkansas, where he completed his education. He enjoyed going back home spending time with his grandparents and sister.
In 1982, Coy and his oldest daughter, Danielle, relocated to Detroit, Michigan, where two more daughters were born. In 1997, Coy decided to move back home to Little Rock. He loved working with his hands, carpentry, lawn service, construction work and plumbing, until his health began to fail him.
On Sunday, May 3, 2009, Coy had a severe stroke, and was in and out of hospitals. On Wednesday, August 12, 2009, the Lord called him home.
Coy leaves to cherish his memories forever, his four daughters, Gerlander Davis of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Danielle Davis, Shanita Spencer Howard (Larry) and Caronika Spencer all of Detroit; his mother, Annie Reed Spencer of Little Rock; his father, Allen Charles Spencer of Detroit; special friend, April Broadnax; three sisters, Elnadiar White (Preston) of Desoto, Texas, Sandshone Epps (Terry) of Las Vegas, Nevada and Carolyn Spencer of Detroit; two brothers, Allen Spencer II (Zina) and Theodus Spencer of Detroit; three grandchildren, Daijahnai Howard, Ariona Howard and Deshawn Sewell; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Coy was preceded in death by his brother, Barry Reed.
