Bernard Darbonne
Bernard Darbonne of Little Rock was born February 24, 1925 to Bennett and Bessie Duhon Darbonne and passed away Friday, December 25, 2009 at the age of 84. He was a Civil Service employee for thirty-three years for the Little Rock Air Force Base and a Navy Veteran of World War II. He was also a member of Ironton Baptist Church.
He is survived by his two sons, Ed Darbonne, of Maumelle, and Alton Darbonne, of Benton; two daughters, Becky Caruthers, of Little Rock, and Pamela Greene, of Little Rock; nine grandchildren; one sister, Connie Coleman, and one brother, Willard Darbonne, both of Louisiana; and a host of family and friends.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday at Ironton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest registry at www.nlrfh.com.
