Bernard Cotter

Bernard Francis Cotter, 90, of Sherwood, passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2010. He retired from the North Little Rock Post Office after 25 years of service and was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers. Mr. Cotter supported the Christian Foundation for Children and Aging and the St. Jude Children's Hospital. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and was a member of St. Jude The Apostle Catholic Church in Jacksonville.
He is survived by his son, David Cotter of Sherwood; twin brother, Andrew Cotter of Little Rock and brother, Tommy Cotter of Pasadena, California; sisters, Mary Quattlebaum of Little Rock and Agnes Keltner of Sherwood.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Anna K. Cotter.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 505 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Jude The Apostle Catholic Church, 2403 McArthur Drive, Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Monday at the church with the Rosary to follow. Online obituary and guest registry at www.nlrfh.com.
